Producer, vocalist and performer Dis Fig joins Jennifer Lucy Allan to discuss the creative processes and influences surrounding her work produced for Assembly 2024.
An artist renowned for her haunting vocals and the emotional intensity of her performances, Dis Fig (Felicia Chen) came to prominence on the underground music scenes of Berlin and New York for her unique blend of industrial, noise and avant-garde sounds.
Ahead of presenting her new live performance, developed in residency at Somerset House Studios in partnership with Goethe-Institut London and CTM Festival, she joins writer, researcher and broadcaster Jennifer Lucy Allan to discuss vulnerability, catharsis and embracing chaos in her live performance work.
